Because of some dental work that Ben had done, he couldn't eat anything chewy. At dinner we were having zucchini, which is not Ben's favorite, and he turned to me and asked, "Is Zucchini chewy?" I told him that Zucchini was not chewy and he could eat everything on his plate. :-)
In August we had a ward campout on a lake. The kids were really looking forward to it and we had a fun time. We got permission to go a day early, so we were able to spend two nights there, and since packing and unpacking takes up most of the time for an overnight campout, this gave us more time to swim in the lake and ride the canoes.

Barry and his dad took the kids fishing. Mindy caught a 12 inch trout and was quite proud. They all said that fishing was a highlight of their summer. The fish tasted good, too!

Maddy auditioned for a part in the play, "Seven Brides for Seven Brothers". She finds out tomorrow what part she gets. She is hoping for a good part.

Ben started Kindergarten this year! He lost his first tooth, too! Where did my baby go?
