| Mindy models the glasses she got for her birthday and her clip on earrings she got for Christmas. She has wanted fake glasses for a while. I found these at the dollar store. |

| Mackensey and Mindy got sewing macine's for Christmas from Grandma Thomason (she got a really good deal). They have been sewing a lot and doing a great job. |

| Mackensey is making a quilt. She sews strips together, then this will get cut and sewn to make squars (quilt-in-a-day techinique). |

| Mindy is also sewing like crazy. This week she made bean bags and small doll pillows. I was impressed when I saw that she had re- threaded her sewing machine AND bobbin all on her own without being taught how. The next day I was sewing with her and the bobbin ran out. I wanted to watch and see her wind the bobbin. She did it by hand! It must have taken her 1/2 hour the first time! I showed her how to use the machine to wind bobbin. "That's MUCH faster!" |

| We took the kids on a picnic lunch before school started up again. We just hiked up the small hill infront of our house. |
